Why do online newspaper job classifieds bring you to an external site like yahoo or career builder?
why don't the newspapers put the job classifieds straight from the paper onto their website? ie: The Los Angeles Times jobs classifieds (online) directs you to career builder. I dont live in the area so I cannot simply buy the newspaper thats why im trying to browse the newspaper classifieds through the internet.|||I am in NY and career builder is associated with Newsday and Monster.com is associated with the NY times the papers must get money for it best answer I can think of sorry.

How does ebay classifieds ban an account?
My account on ebay classifieds got banned and i am wondering how they do that? Like how do they prevent me from making another account? Is there a way around this that i can make a new account? I use that website to sell things. Any help would be appreciated!|||They can ban anyone for anything they want. It's their sandbox, their rules.

In a classifieds website what functionalities would you like. For example like SMS, emailing the listing to you etc.|||One that I have always liked is from the PJ Scout site (or NationJob.com) that e-mails you only listings that match your criteria. Unlike Monster or Career Builder, the results actually DO match your preferences.

My house has been on the market for over a year with no offers to date. A friend suggested using online classifieds such as
Gumtree Australia, Craigslist, Ebay etc.
Do you think it would work?|||i have used craigslist with great results...
but your house may be too low / high priced... you need to find what comparable houses are selling for in your local area and price accordingly...
sometimes Realtors will not push your property at all they use iy as a listing stock... esp sometimes if its priced too low they will advertise your property and they get a lot of hits because of it but alway switch and bate..."we have a nicer listing that may work better for you"... if its too high priced they will make no effort because they know no one will buy it anyway...|||It can't hurt. I am a broker and advertise all of my listings on craigslist with fairly good results.
However, if your home has been on the market for 12 months (I am assuming by "on the market" you mean that it is multiple listed by a broker) with no offers, your problem isn't how it is advertised, it is your price. A year is certainly long enough to know how the public is responding to your asking price, and in your case the price is obviously too high.

What are ways to find rentals not listed in classifieds?
I'm trying to find a house to rent (Redding, CA area), but I find the local classifieds, rental search websites, and Google Maps real estate very limited except in the heart of the city. It's possible that there just aren't many rentals in outlying areas, but I seriously doubt it. What are other ways to find rentals outside the heart of a city?|||Redding does not have much in the way of rentals.

What are some good alternative ways of trying to sell a van other than classifieds?
My band broke up, and we have to sell our van. I've been running classifieds for several months with no success.
