the people who stand on the corners with the signs. i feel strongly that those who can work should work. but in the future, is it better just to ignore them?Was it rude to give a homeless guy the classifieds?
Yes it was rude and quite classless of you. If you don't want to help them, then yes ignore them and go on about your day. Keep your judgment to yourself.

Some of those people are not homeless, that IS their job. To beg for money. I watched them during the shift change. For truth.Was it rude to give a homeless guy the classifieds?
Ignore them. I usually do. Unless I see they actually need help and are not a junkie and or alcoholic. !i

For some reason you think that standing on a corner and asking people for money isn't work, but I suppose you would consider someone who spends their day soliciting donations for charities, and keeping 95 cents out of every dollar, to be a perfectly respectable and honorable career. Personally I consider lawyers to be a dishonorable occupation. I suppose that we all have our own interpretation of what is honorable.



In the end it doesn't matter what you think of his lifestyle, it's his life, and you have no right to be rude, simply because you disapprove of it.
My suggestion is try volunteering in a homeless shelter. Serve them soup and sandwiches. Sit down and talk with people. Listen to their stories. Try an walk in someone else's shes before you judge them.
would you hire a homeless person who has no place to shower and no clean clothes to wear. and who probably smells..maybe hasn't brushed his teeth.. but you expect him to get out and find a job.. nobody will hire him that's the point. they don't want a BUM working for them. I hope one day you are homeless..don't say it won't ever happen.. I said that and being homeless and judged by the likes of people like you who think homeless people are trash sucks.
