I found a BOSE 321 surround system in classifieds for sale.?

Person selling it said that system has a warranty available because it's brand new and it is still in unopened box. I'm suspicious about warranty because he won the system on a contest and does not have proof of purchase. Could anybody tell me is there any warranty available for that product.I found a BOSE 321 surround system in classifieds for sale.?
You would have to call Bose directly to find out.

Some companies (not just Bose) refuse to honor warranties unless your receipt came from an 'authorized dealer'. This is to try and protect stores from being under-cut by internet sites that run on low profit with no store costs.

But - Bose is not well respected. They sue anybody who tries to publish technical information about their speakers, they market heavily to AARP members (old people with poor hearing and retirement money) and they have somewhat 'suspicious' road shows where they run the sound through about $5,000 worth of amps %26amp; equalizers, but tell people the speakers will sound the same in their home.

I would avoid Bose. You can probably get better sound for less money putting together your own receiver/DVD/Speaker package.

I have also heard people here crying because they just upgraded to a HD or BluRay player - and the Bose systems dont let you connect other equipment to them like a more common AV receiver.
