I assume you mean 'advertising' (in general)..



Well an established business with a long line of goods may well wish to maintain a long term brand 'awareness' amongst the public .. for example, the 'Hello Tosh, got a Toshiba ?' and 'If anyone can, Canon can' campaigns come to mind .. such vendors may well wish to list for months at a time ..



On the other hand, if you are a private seller with a single item eg. Car to sell, you may well wish to minimise the cost of advertising (especially if the item is sold on the first day) and there would be little point in longer listings ..Survey: your reasons / ideas why people would want or prefer longer listing on a classifieds ?
You must know that 'calssified' is a 'direct selling medium' %26amp; direct selling medium comes only in use by the serious buyers who are almost about to make a Purchase.



- Long listings in a direct selling medium not only depicts upon the bigger size of your organization,

- it makes your presence being felt on the medium making it visible to catch attention,

- it also help in last-mile selling efforts to close a deal / business!



+ Those business corcerns that are trying to give an impression of being a large size organization or a company.
