If you think they are going to spam you, use a web-based e-mail account that is free...yahoo, hotmail, etc. Usually websites that offer free classifieds get their money from sponsors who advertise on their sites.

Some will spam you - I recommend creating an email account designed just for use with sites that require an email for activation. Yahoo lets you create free email accounts, so make another one that you only use online.
Some sites, on the other hand, make revenue from advertising. Either way, I recommend a new e-mail that you don't care if it gets spammed.
